BASE Architecture Planning & Engineering has two projects presented in the KCET program. The design team for the MLK Jr. Transit Center in Compton California was led by architect and co-founder of BASE Elliot Barker with architects Mike Huang and Andrew Matsumoto. Elliot followed in his father’s footsteps, Edward C. Barker who was also an African American architect and founded the firm Edward C. Barker & Associates in 1970.
